Tranquil ITE is a custom, in-the-ear sound generator for use in tinnitus treatment. The stable, pleasant, broad band noise is delivered in the comfortable and non-occluding canal open ear design patented by GHI. Cosmetically appealing, the open ear allows patients to hear normally without occluding the ear and exacerbating the tinnitus.

How A Sound Generators Work
Sound generators are hearing aid-like devices that produce a soft, soothing noise similar to the sound from a showerhead, fountain or gently falling rain. The added sound helps distract the brain’s focus from the debilitating ringing, whistling or roaring noise caused by tinnitus. Imagine a candle glowing in a darkened room and how focused you would be on that single source of light. But when additional sources of light are introduced, the candle becomes far less noticeable.
