Introducing the SmartWear Pro hearing protection system. The SmartWear Pro is an advanced, self-forming hearing protector with a professional quality sound filter system. They are the only hearing protectors to feature the patented SmartWear stent technology. SmartWear evolved from the coronary stent industry, a technology that can actually "program" a Nitinol alloy to expand when exposed to a desired temperature. Once seated into the ear canal, the stent senses and responds to body temperature. This causes the stent to slowly expand until it comfortably and securely fills the contours of the individual ear canal. The result is cutom-like fit with an excellent acoustic seal. The thermally activated stent is embedded inside an ultra-soft medical grade silicone body and remains flexible so it very responsive to jaw (TMJ) movement. |

Noise Induced Hearing Loss
Everyday we exposed to a wide range of noises, fortunately, most are heard at a safe level. However, some sound are too loud and that's when a noise induced hearing loss can occur. A noise induced hearing loss is a permanent hearing impairment that is a result of prolonged exposure to high levels of noise. You should always protect your hearing whenever you are in a noisy environment that is louder than 85 dB. A movie theater is an example of sound levels exceeding this safe range (they typically operate in the low to mid 90 dB range).
If you play music on stage or even in a garage, use a firearm, do construction work, or just run the lawnmower on the weekend, you are at risk. Lifetime Warranty
SmartWear Pro is offered with a lifetime warranty on the silicone body and thermo-forming stent. The device will be replaced at no charge (except for shipping) should the body or stent fail due faulty material or workmanship. Due to normal wear and tear, the sound filter is covered by a standard one year warranty.Which sound filter is best for me?
The sound filter is replaceable and can be ordered in 3 different levels of attenuation:
#9 Flat 9 dB sound reduction through the mid-range.
#15 provides uniform 15 dB reduction across all frequencies.
#25 provides 25 dB of flat sound reduction across all frequencies. Works well for on-stage or impact noise (hunting). |
